Auburn
University Chooses Bon Aqua Treatment for Montgomery Campus
GREENSBORO,
NC - April 24, 2002 - Bon Aqua International, Inc., manufacturer
and worldwide distributor of the patented Bon Aqua water treatment
system is proud to announce another prestigious addition to our
ever-growing family of environmentally responsible clients. Auburn
University has chosen the Bon Aqua water treatment system for
their Montgomery Campus (AUM).
Bon
Aqua treatment was
installed on an 850 ton cooling tower system and the chiller-condenser
for this system; two 450 ton each cooling tower systems with their
respective chiller-condensers; and one 150 horsepower steam boiler
system at the University's Montgomery campus.
AUM's
selection of Bon Aqua was based on actual field testing performed
for several months on one cooling tower system to see what results
could be expected by employing this method of treatment.
Not
only will AUM solve their scale and non-biological corrosion problems
without the continuing expense and harmful effects of chemical
treatment, they will likewise benefit by substantially reducing
water consumption, which in turn, reduces water/sewer costs. AUM
will also be reducing their power consumption and related costs
as a result of the increased heat exchange efficiency of their
equipment.
AUM
joins Clemson University, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology),
Connecticut College, and many other fine universities that have
chosen cost effective physical water treatment over unpredictable
chemical water treatment. The leadership at AUM must be commended
for their initiative and willingness to take the necessary steps
not only to save money for the university, but to do their part
to help preserve our natural resources.
